The turtles, fish & frogs that inhabit the pond are on a natural diet and are not fed by the town; There is also a sign at the end of the small pier that extends into the pond that requests that the public not feed the turtles, fish & animals.

There is a 1/5 mile fitness trail around Turtle Pond. Park benches and Wooden Park Bench Swings sit along the pond front. In addition, a platform and a short pier extend into the pond to view the turtles, fish, and frogs.
