"Yappy Happy Hour!" is Today

The new schedule for the 1oth Annual "Yappy Happy Hour!" starts Today, September 18th 2009 the time is from 10:30am - Noon.

Yappy Happy Hour will continue every Saturday from 10:30am - Noon through Thanksgiving 2009. So, mark you calendars and join in on all the fun.

The World Famous, 10th Annual "Yappy Happy Hour!" is held at Outer Barks, located at 1171 Duck Road, in the Scarborough Lane Shops in Duck, NC.

This family fun pet event includes complimentary treats such as frozen Doggie Daiquiris & Arf D’ouevres for your pampered pet. There will also be (refreshments and munchies) for the humans inside the store at the same time.

The children's wading pool will be filled with water and a toy or two, ready to splash and have some fun. The Agility Course is waiting for your pets practice and enjoyment.

The most fun of all, everybody loves Ms. Robin & her help in creating unique Priceless Pet Paw Painting Art.

Seasonal Time Frame Lifted Sept. 16th for Dogs on the Beaches of Kill Devil Hills, NC

Wednesday, September 16th 2009 is the annual date that the township of Kill Devil Hills, NC has set to lift the time frames that animals are allowed on town beaches each year.

The town of Kill Devil Hills, NC Beach Leash Laws are as follows:

Leash law requires leash not to exceed 10 ft. in length. From the hours of 9:00 am through 6:00 pm each day from May 15th through Sept. 15th each year, No dogs shall be allowed on town beaches, except those aiding a handicap person.

Seasonal Animals Prohibited on the Beaches of Southern Shores, NC lifted Sept. 16th

Wednesday is the the 16th of September 2009. This date marks the seasonal lifting of the animals prohibited on the beaches in the township of Southern Shores, NC during the annual summer tourism season.

The town of Southern Shores Beach Leash Laws are as follows:

Leash law requires leash not to exceed ten (10) feet in length. From May 15 to September 15 of each year, animals are prohibited on town beaches. Leash laws enforced remainder of year.

Seasonal Time Frame Lifted for Dogs on the Beaches in Kitty Hawk, NC

Labor Day has come and gone and with it the time frame limiting the hours during which dogs are allowed on the beaches of the township of Kitty Hawk, NC have been lifted.
As well as leash lengths and unleashed supervised beach play is allowed as described in the
Kitty Hawk Beach Leash Laws.

The Town of Kitty Hawk Beach Leash Laws are as follows

Leash law requires leash not to exceed 6 ft. in length between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm from Friday, before Memorial Day until the day after Labor Day. At all other times the leash may be extended, but must be retractable to 12 ft. Well trained dogs may be unleashed under close supervision of owner, not to exceed 30 ft. in distance between owner and dog.
