National Pet ID Week - April 19-25

Outer Banks SPCA Dare County Animal Shelter

April 18th - April 25th 2009 is National Pet ID Week.

We encourage all pet owners to check your pet(s) ID tag information to make sure that all contact information is up to date.

Also check the condition of your pets collar or harness to ensure the ID tag is secure. Reminder; if you live in a county or township that requires a dog license please make sure all of your contact information is up to date.

All Dare County NC residents are required to have an Annual Dog License attached to their collar or harness. The Outer Banks SPCA currently has a downloadable 2009 Dog license form online.

The state of North Carolina requires that pets have a current up-to-date Rabies tag.
